Pictures from LA Craft Experience

I think there should be a word for a productive slacker... One that would describe my overall feeling towards doing things right now.  I a checking off unimportant items from the to-do, SO I feel a bit of accomplishment.  Kevin and I had the busiest weekend last weekend so its understandable that I am spent. Seriously, I just want to take a nap and watch some TV.  Before I can allow myself to do anything relaxing though I must get out these pictures, I can't believe it is Wednesday already...

Here are some great shots from this weekend-

 The "Usual Spread" this time with a new display for our Vintage Magazine Stationery Set- A disk case we found out our local thrift store.  It works awesome!!! I am on the hunt for more- 

ALSO- A *NEW* 3 Drawer Tower with Blue, Pink, Green and Cream Colored Maps.

COMING UP THIS WEEK AUG 23th-27th

On the days I don't want to do anything... I work myself up into doing "the least productive, productive thing"  The tasks that could be done daily but sometimes pile up- Its a fun way of being productive by doing my sketchbook, idea/inspiration, books/ record keeping.  Today is one of those days where I am fighting myself and trying to get things together!

We have a busy week getting ready for the LA Craft Experience this Saturday Evening.  And, with less than a month until my surgery we have been busy trying to finish up the last bit of settling into our apartment before our family comes to stay.

Here is some fun to come- We just started these great new products- A Sewing Jar and a *NEW* Record Stand that is perfect for cupcakes!!!

There will be a few to select from at LACE as well as the Equinox Music Festival that we will be gearing up for in September!

Today I have been playing around with some supplies that I haven't addressed yet, and going threw the piles that may have been overlooked in my recent purges.  

 I have been making these hair clips that will be featured at the LA Craft Experience in Chinatown on Aug. 28th

I am still trying to figure out how I can just make what I want in small limited run batches and market things as ever changing, always new, and unique.  A different twist on the same subject matter and concept but a different outcome each time kinda thing.  I think Etsy is really good for this- problem is then I have to have room to keep stock in the house while it is listed.  

Maybe once all the space taken up by various "supplies" is swapped for finished products I won't care that I have to organize the stock at home... Let's see if I can get on that and make it happen!!!

COMING UP THIS WEEK AUG 13th-20th

UNIQUE OC was this last weekend and I am anxious to share so many things this week!!!  We will be getting everything online in order and re-group for the LA Craft Experience in Chinatown on Aug. 28th.

If you didn't want to make the trek down to the OC you haven't missed your chance to see us before our hiatus. Hope to see you there!  Best part is its at NIGHT :)

I just saw a snippet of Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price(It is "Play Instant" available on Netflix.) I think it has really sunk in how much deeper giving your vote and your dollar to these corporations really have screwed up our Nations economy and how events like UNIQUE OC and  shopping Local =the utmost best way to stimulate the economy.

So all this week there will be super fun Highlights from this weekend and my ramblings on Why You Should Buy Local!!!  

The Tutorial Tomorrow will be a step by step on paper beads that highlights our really fun Video that launched last week.  I have purchased recently some paper bead necklaces that ties in perfectly to purchasing local to share too ;)


Most Importantly my Birthday is this week!  I will try not to slack off too much since there is only 34 more days to use my arm, but all this activity I might over excite myself and need to take a tech break and relax while consuming myself in these "Fight-the-System Documentaries" my Netflix instant queue.  It tells me they are Movies I'll <3
