Wedding Wednesday- Art Deco Anyone??? What about Ghosts?

Two weeks ago, Alisa and I headed down to Long Beach to check out a Roller Derby shop on 4th St., and some how we found ourselves aboard the Queen Mary.

The boat is decorated with the most wonderful Art Deco attributes and has wonderful ammenities to hold special occasion events and weddings.  While I was there all I could think about was if this wasn't across the country Alessandra would really love the history that oozes out of the architecture and decor.  One thing they make a big deal about on the tour/ info was how this was one of the greatest examples of the Art Deco style, and it is totally true.

Can't you see your wonderful retro wedding here ?

Ace Hotel- Palm Springs (Part 2)

In my excitement pushing out the last post I forgot to note a super cool GREEN facts on the Ace Hotel & Swim Club

On top of the usual water conservation efforts, they have organic cotton linens (Which is pretty cool and impressive in my book), they utilize both recycled materials as well as vintage furniture, and they even use low VOC paints so offgassing isn't even a concern!

Ace Hotel- Palm Springs

Kevin and I had our first vacation since we got married in Palm Springs last week.  First time for both of us to travel out into the desert and experience what Palm Springs is all about.  The first part of our trip was spent at the ACE Hotel & Swim Club and it was retro gold! *I will have to share pictures from my point and shoot due to my computer still being down :( There is no way I am clogging up my laptop with my super hi-res shots and I don't want to delay the pictures.
