Things have been crazy getting ready for the Handmade Holiday Workshop & Mini-Market tomorrow and UNIQUE LA this weekend.  If I keep at this pace I think we'll be at a perfect point to fully convey everything we in-visioned and set out to complete :) 

With that said, I am still on East Coast time I am afraid I must retire for the evening...

What I Wore- Friday 11/25/11 Borderline Shlumpadinka

The outfit I wore today is something slightly warm but mostly comfy. There has been a lot of eating foods that have been cut out of my diet recently so I feel kinda gross and really just put on items that seemed comfortable and easy to wear. You would think I would be more glamorous for the Holidays- but alas, pretty uneventful glamor wise:

The dress is a Jet Rag $1 find :) the jacket is from a thrift store in Williamsburg Brooklyn which I got before moving, and the hat is one of my employee Urban purchases in NYC too.

Why didn't I think of this before???

 If you are packing elastic belts to accessorize your outfits you can fold your clothes into a tight bundle and wrap them in the belt to wrap them nicely for your suitcase.  I can't believe I only just thought of this today. This is going to revolutionize my travel packing from here on :)

UNIQUE LA Holiday Show & State of Unique Website

We are super excited for UNIQUE LA's 4th Annual Holiday Show!

UNIQUE LA Pictures and *DISCOUNT*

It was so great seeing all of our great friends and fans at UNIQUE LA this past weekend!!! 

Leah, Kristin and I got together Friday to decorate the booth.  We had a great time, and I am so glad we were able to get together because here is all of us vendors in line just an hour before the shopping starts!  I am not sure yet of the overall count for the weekend, but last I heard there was ~8,000 People who attended on Saturday.

I was really impressed with the Holiday Displays at West Elm this year.  I loved that the majority of the decorations were all paper.  The packaging was clear on some of it, but I am not sure if they are recycled which would elevate everything to AWESOME. But, the Christmas Tree made from Books was definitely one of my favorite parts.

Our inspiration picture is bellow-

Highlights of our Winter Wonderland set-up: Meyers Dryer Sheet Paper Rosette Snowflakes, Recycled Box Tree Branches, Paper Strips from around the Studio in Paper Chains. In the back a "Gift", a wall decorated as a package and tag. Wrapped in patterned paper with recycling symbols.

Super Excited for the Holidays and Black Friday!!!  Today we have everything in our Etsy Shop on "Free Shipping Sale".

Yesterday we worked all day with a break for Thanksgiving Dinner @ Native Foods.  It was super tasty! Today, we are skipping the shopping and are off to Disneyland to see the Tron Experience.  We are super glad we can go visit with some friends, and see Disneyland for the first time.  It may not feel very Thanksgiving like where we are from, but I am sure going will put us in the Christmas spirit!  

Don't worry, we'll be back making Reinbeers tomorrow- I promise! We'll make sure to take pictures ;)

Coming Up This Week: Nov. 15th- 21st *PATCHWORK SHOW*

This week is our last week before our first HOLIDAY show.  Where did the time go??? Last week we got some great sales and traffic on our Etsy site.  The free shipping on REINBEERS went amazingly well and depending on how the Patchwork Indie Arts & Craft Festival goes we are scheming a fun Black Friday/ Cyber Monday Sale .

Kevin went back to work yesterday on a new project and I am super excited that we had that nice break together.  We had the best time.  Kevin put together some new furniture together for our Living Room/ Dining Area that is finally free of my "chair"- we'll have to get pictures up soon.  Right now my main priority is to make as much stuff as possible to have ready for these shows.  Kevin has been busy at night getting record stands ready.  Hopefully next week we will get a ton of items up on Etsy before Thanksgiving.

We have been super busy this week after getting sick.  We have cleaned the house, and are starting to do a very early "spring cleaning" while we are getting everything in order.  Tomorrow, we have a UNIQUE LA vendor meeting and then dinner with a group from Kevin's work... 

Every other spare moment however, are devoted to these 'lil guys and getting them on Etsy on time for the SALE!
